Something to the Imagination: 228 Cumberland Street
Wish we could tell ya more, but 228 Cumberland Street is a 2-Family that wants $1.8M and doesn't have much more to say on the matter. The Zillow listing says even less. What we do know is it's a 3BR duplex over a 3BR duplex, and it's all renovated. We'd love to see some of that, especially since we're talking about such a HUGE purchase, but nobody we can find bothered to post any pictures. You'd think this place was in the Witness Protection Program, not trying to sell for the better part of $2 Million dollars:
Looks like it was picked up in October of last year for just under $700K, and is now being flipped. You'd think they'd be proud to show the new renovation. Nice bones on a nice block, there's lots of potential here. So why so shy??
There are so few places on these prime blocks in Fort Greene that there might be enough demand to fetch a buyer who's got their ear to the streets and can uncover these undercover listings. Overpriced and nothing to look at?? ---> it's so crazy, it just might work!
Pro's: location, curb appeal, "recently renovated", 2 sizable duplexes
Con's: 2-Family limitations, nothing to see yet, steep price
Ideally: with lots of 2-Family's running around with steep price tags like this, showing no pictures isn't really gonna help set ya apart from the pack.

Closed on 12/15/2011 for $1.85M, but - sorry, folks - good luck figuring out why. The masked man is not revealed.
